I enjoyed having classes separated into lectures and seminars, which gave us hands-on experience. The professors were knowledgeable, loved their subjects and knew how to effectively communicate the lectures to students. Thanks to a mandatory specialized practice, which I‘ve done at the Institute of Animal Science, I got a feeling of what my future career might look like. Another great thing was the campus itself, it was very convenient to have all the buildings in one place, and have access to laboratories.

For me, the best thing at CZU is its campus; it is vast, modern and it always keeps me in the right student mood. The most important skills I learned during my study were obtained through the final thesis. They included researching scientific literature, critical thinking, self-organisation or self-presenting. I also valued the emphasis on being proactive.

When I graduated, I gained abundance of knowledge and experience such as how to prepare experimental design, proceed with laboratory work, analyze data, discuss and explain results and manage time efficiently. Currently, I am doing my Ph.D. in Exploitation and Conservation Natural Resources programme. I am very excited about learning, researching with multi-national colleagues and experienced professors, especially, I have an opportunity to open my vision more about developing agriculture and the environment from a global perspective.

Although I do not work directly in the field of my study, I gained some soft skills which are important in my current position in Marketing department in a pharmaceutical company - patience, resistance, team work, science based critical thinking and analysis. During my study I enjoyed most field trips, some professor's classes (especially from Dr. Mihalikova, professor Tlustoš) and a good group of international classmates.

My course was mainly focused on sustainability and the application of advanced technologies in agriculture and food production. I gained deep technical skills and learned how to work effectively in a team. I also felt strong support from my professors and thesis supervisor. Participating in the Erasmus+ study stay in Turkey was a great adventure, and an unforgettable cultural and learning experience.
